Tadhg Collection

This was an extensive project Ethan had done over the course of 6 months that sought to capture the essence of memories itself. Ethan had one of his friends, Tadhg, tell stories from his childhood, recent memory, anything that could possibly be and utilised these stories to create a non-linear narrative that captures his life. These photos were captured digitally and modified to fit the proportions of a polaroid camera. Ethan digitally modified the images to have the saturation and grain associated with polaroid cameras. Marker text and scribbles were digitally scanned onto the images.

It was not easy curating these photos but neither is coming to terms with existence. To capture life is to be honest and to be honest it requires facing harsh realities. This harshness intermingled with an ethereal dream-like setting is emitted from these photographs as it seeks to explore Tadhg’s reality in an expressive and romanticist manner.
